What's New at School!
Pumpkinella!
Get your family together and join in the fun for SVS's Pumpkinella! Design, carve or dress up a pumpkin to bring for display. ONLY ONE PER FAMILY!
Bring your pumpkin to the DLC after school on Wednesday, October 30th or the morning of Thursday, October31stfrom 8:20-8:40am.
the pumpkin may have a safer journey if they are not brought to school on the bus. If you could add a tea-light to the center of your pumpkin, it will add to a special effect when placed in the gym.
Classes will tour the gym throughout the day to enjoy your efforts. Pumpkins MUST be picked up to go home by Thursday, between 4:00 and 5:oopm. Any pumpkins left at the school will be composted.
Don't forget the Halloween Hop on the 25th of October Flyers went home last week.

Our students are working hard at language and math.
Math:
Counting up practice occurs daily and we trace numbers every second day.
Language arts:
The students enjoy various picture stories that focus on social development one example is "Hands are not for Hitting". Picture stories have a visual for almost every word and help to develop reading skills. We are working on a new set of sight words for October and November.
Our new words are: break, day, food, hold, if, most, near, party, shop, picture, jump, then, medium, keep, this, will, did, him, too, quick, story.
Thank you for all your support,
Ms. Deb Armstrong
